Year 7 & 8 Teacher

Position Summary

We have a fixed term contract position available covering long service leave in Term 4 at 1.0 FTE. 

Bringing a Christian perspective to bear in all aspects of work, the Teacher is responsible for all aspects of
planning, preparation, delivery and assessment of each subject, making learning accessible and inclusive for
different learning styles and abilities of all students.

Working within a team of dedicated Secondary School core teachers, the successful applicant will deliver
engaging and effective learning and teaching programs across the key learning areas of the school’s
published curriculum in Years 7 – 8 Humanities, English and Maths.

Relevant knowledge, skills and understanding of core subjects is essential, as is the ability to plan and teach
from a Biblical worldview.

Applicants will need to be:

• Practicing Christians, actively involved in their local church and able to subscribe to the School’s Mission Statement and Educational Creed
• Registered with the Tasmanian Teachers Registration Board
• Registered with a current Working With Vulnerable People (Employment) Card

Contract Term: 14th October to 13th December 2024 (Term 4)
