Our Staff - Leadership Team

Principal - Mr Adrian Bosker

Adrian was appointed as Principal at Launceston Christian School in 2016.  His family have had a long association with LCS, including serving as a Board member and as active parents while their four children attended the school.  From a background in the printing industry, Adrian was a late entry into the field of formal education.  Adrian has spent the previous ten years as the Principal of Calvin Christian Primary School.  He is passionate about building relationships with parents and students of the school community and deeply values the partnerships that work toward mutual edification of our faith in Jesus Christ as our Saviour and Lord.  Adrian and his wife Lucy attend the Riverbank Christian Church.  They have nine grandchildren, four of which are already attending LCS.

Acting Head of Junior School - Mrs Irene Niebuur

Irene has been part of the teaching team at school since 1994, working in the Education Support Unit and since 2003 teaching years five and six.  Married with three children, she enjoyed seeing her first grandchild begin her schooling in Kinder at LCS last year.  Irene attends Riverbank Christian Church and enjoys the outdoors, reading and spending time with family.  She is passionate about Christian Education and providing students with opportunities to serve others.

Head of Middle School - Mr Richard Sansom

Richard joined our school at the beginning of 2017.  He believes that every student’s potential can be realised when academic achievement is positively balanced with social, emotional and spiritual growth. A native Tasmanian, Richard returned to Launceston after serving for ten years as Principal of Hinterland Christian College in Mullumbimby, New South Wales.  Richard is married to Kim, has five children and attends Riverbank Christian Church.

Head of Senior School - Mrs Michelle Fitzallen

Michelle really enjoys working with our Senior students and loves to see them well-prepared for life outside of school.  For Michelle the joy of relating with young people is the incentive for her to serve at LCS. Michelle was a former Home Economics teacher here at the school and still has a real passion for cooking, growing her own fruit and vegetables and working with fibres. Michelle has a deep commitment to serve Christ and believes that the team of staff working with the Senior students are people who aim to bring the power of Christ into every school situation.

Director of Studies - Mr Robert Morgan

Rob is happily married with 5 children and has been a teacher in the areas of mathematics and computing at LCS for 18 years. This year he will combine his teaching in mathematics with the role of Director of Studies.

Business Manager - Mr Graeme Smith

Graeme has been the Business Manager of LCS for the past 11 years managing the finance and building work.  There have been significant changes to the school in that time and many opportunities for the future.  He and his wife Marguerite have three adult children all of whom attended LCS. Graeme is a life-long resident of Tasmania and enjoys getting outdoors camping and bushwalking. He is currently an Elder at Punchbowl Christian Centre where he has been actively involved for over 30 years.
